Designer Fashions at Any Size
Sure there are many, many, many places to find nice,quality, designer clothing. But as you may find as you are pa rousing around these stores or websites, the majority of the sizes stop at 10, maybe 12. Whats a curvy lady to do? Do you just settle for the “prettiest” mu mu you can find? Or do you raid your husbands closet for a comfy t shirt? Or the third option, do you do a little digging and find there is a whole plus size world out there for you? My suggestion is number 3. Designer plus size clothing is here, and its now.
Not so long ago I found myself getting depressed and aggravated that I wasn’t fitting into the cute clothes that my friends were. I was excited when I could locate a size 14 or 16. But for a girl who once LOVED shopping, i found myself dreading it. Until one day I decided to go into a local Plus Size clothing store. This changed my life. There I found gorgeous dresses, pretty tank tops, even bathing suits that were super flattering and cute. But the best thing was that these were all the same styles that my friends were wearing. This store was Lane Bryant. They have sizes up to 32! That’s right now all of us curvy women can look and feel great about ourselves.
Lane Bryant is not the only store to cater to plus size ladies. One of my favorite stores is Torrid. They cater more to the 16-25 year old range, but they still carry a lot of classic pieces. Another nice thing is that in the winter they carry the latest trend in boots. But also their boots have extra room in the calf area. That is super important to all curvy girls.
What I want to impart to you is this: You don’t have to settle for less because of your size. You deserve to look just as good, and to feel just as good about yourself ant ANY size. There are options out there for you. In my next article I will give some advice on where to find great designer fashions, and how to know what styles will look the best on you. Until then, throw out the mu mu’s and make room in your closet for some great looking tops and yes..even jeans!
